We would like to wish our new veterinary surgeon Dr Carlo Cicalese MRCVS a very warm welcome!
Carlo is actually returning to us after a few years away.
Carlo graduated in Veterinary Science from University of Santiago de Compostela Campus Universitario di Lugo in Galicia, Spain in 2016. He also graduated in Animal Production Technologies at the Federico II University of Naples in 2007.
Carlo first joined Quarry House Vets in late 2017 and was with us until July 2018. In this short time he became a valued member of the team and was very well liked by both staff and clients. After leaving us he worked in the UK and Italy before returning to Quarry House Vets in March 2023. Carlo specialises in laser therapy which is a pain-free alternative or supportive treatment for the reduction of pain and inflammation.
Carlo will be available for consultations at all three branches in rotation with our other veterinary surgeons.
What is laser therapy?
Laser therapy is a non-invasive, alternative or supportive treatment that is used to treat a variety of conditions in pets.
It is used for relieving pain and reducing inflammation without any side effects. It is painless and does not require sedation of the animal.
Mostly commonly used for treating arthritis, to assist postoperative healing and wound management.
