What Our Clients Say

The lifeblood of any business are happy clients, and vets are no different! Here are some of the reviews we have had from our lovely pet owners:

Our Working Partnerships

Animals In Distress

In May 2012 we began a contract to supply veterinary services to the Animals in Distress Rescue Centre in Ipplepen. We operate where possible in a specially-designed veterinary suite at the centre, but further, and special, investigations and hospitalisation of critical patients are carried out at our Torquay centre. We are able to provide on-site care to the majority of AID residents, thus ensuring minimal stress and maximum health and welfare. Continued care to these pets can then be given at our 3 surgeries once they have been adopted by their new owners. We are very pleased to be involved with such a professional and dedicated charity.

We are pleased to offer pets rehomed from Animals In Distress a 10% discount on our services and products for up to 3 years after adoption.

Here is our principal vet, Dr Marcus Langer being interviewed by Animals In Distress as part of Veterinary Awareness Week 2022.

Here he discusses what it’s like working with Animals In Distress and the additional challenges our vets face when working in a rescue and rehoming centre.

If you would like to know more or get involved with the charity, please visit their website here.

Dogs Trust

For over 15 years we have worked alongside Dogs Trust to help provide free veterinary treatment to dogs whose owners are experiencing homelessness or in a housing crisis.

We provide preventative care and emergency treatment to dogs under the Hope Projects veterinary scheme.

If you would like to know more about the Hope Project or help the trust in anyway, please visit Dogs Trust Hope Project dedicated website here.

Please note: We do NOT have any involvement on who is eligible to receive this help.

PDSA

We are pleased to offer a PDSA fee discount scheme to clients in receipt of certain council tax benefits at our surgeries in Teignmouth and Newton Abbot. This scheme is available only to postcode areas TQ12, TQ13, TQ14 and EX7, and is not available in Torbay.

Applicants should register with our surgeries, (please note that a registration fee is charged), and then apply to PDSA on-line. Although PDSA may accept your membership, we will not apply that membership unless you are registered with us.

Successful applicants will receive a free annual booster OR a free annual health-check and 20% discount on veterinary treatments through our practice. Please note that this discount does not apply to food, nutraceuticals, Out of Hours services, breeding-related treatments or preventive healthcare, and is only available for one registered pet per household.

If you are not already one of our valued PDSA or regular clients, we look forward to welcoming you as a responsible pet owner to our practice.

If you wish to find out more and how the scheme works please visit PDSA information page here.

Please note: We do NOT have any involvement on who is eligible to receive this help.

Paignton Zoo

Our principal vet, Dr Marcus Langer, provided veterinary cover for Paignton Zoo and the Living Coasts for over 20 years until they opened their own bespoke veterinary centre.

During that time he developed a degree of skill and experience that few vets in general practice can match.

Many vets refer cases to Marcus and clients come from Cornwall and all parts of Devon. He also sees parrots and other birds of all sizes.
